Emmett stories: Not a lot because he is maturing, but he is obsessed by a bunny in the front yard. One day he pushed the upstairs bedroom screen out and went onto the roof. The kids were completely freaked out because they thought he really would jump off! We now keep the windows closed and he will sit for hours staring out, just wishing the bunny will be his someday. His other big issue is where he sleeps. Naomi is perfectly happy anywhere because Naomi is a dog! Emmett on the other hand requires warm blankets and preferably a pillow. In the morning, his routine includes jumping onto a bed, being covered with all the comforters and blankets until he hears his dog bowls rattling. Emmett’s destructive behavior has settled down. We don’t think this is maturity – we actually think we are a better trained family. We know he is perfectly trained (like Naomi) until we turn our backs – so when Kaitlyn is left in charge – she knows the one she most has to watch is the dog named Emmett. |
